Satin Express is a musical duo consisting of tenor/soprano saxophone and keyboard/vocalist. The duo can be expanded to include a drummer and/or guitar. Our musical style falls within the range of Straight - Ahead Jazz, including swing, bossa nova, Latin, and music from the Big Band era.

Satin Express has been performing in South Orange County for years. We have appeared at many local restaurants and private functions such as retirement parties, birthdays, weddings, and anniversaries. We have worked for many organizations such as City of Hope, Christermon Foundation, Girls, Inc. of Orange County, United Way, and the Center Club at the Orange County Performing Arts Center.

As saxophonist, I organized Satin Express after playing with many local bands. I have been playing sax since I was nine, have a B.A. from Cal. State LA, served in the Army playing in the NORAD Band, and taught music in the public schools for 34 years before retirement.

The Duo includes multi-talented keyboard/vocalist Norm Abejon.
